Determined to fight for ‘the facts’
LIGHT rail activist Margaret Hogg has launched her own grassroots community campaign to break down what she sees as the wall of silence around the CBD and South East Light Rail project.
Ms Hogg was so incensed by what she claims is a lack of real information around the project that she has taken to the streets of the southeast with a placard to draw attention to the facts beyond the glossy brochures.
“This plan does not work for the communities it is encompassing and places major degradation of intersections and community assets at risk,” Ms Hogg said.
Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian said South East Light Rail was a priority project that would deliver over $4 billion worth of economic benefits and create 10,000 jobs for NSW. from Southern Courier, 1st July 2014
